Join Ian Gladstone, Riley enthusiast and expert for an illustrated talk about his passion. In the 1930s everyone aspired to a Riley, the Lotus of its day.The wonder car was a four door saloon with floor wells for the four seats giving a very low line and exceptional cornering power. In 1927 open Brooklands models were winning races all round Europe.
With their 9s and 6s (9s with 2 more cylinders) and later with new 4 cylinder 12s, Riley were offering over 40 possible variations of cars, a policy which later broke them.
Enjoy a cuppa with the talk, delicious cakes on sale.
