Todd Gray, local historian, was in Cathedral Yard watching in despair as flames spread across the Royal Clarence Hotel. More than 150 fire-fighters, police and ambulance crews filled Cathedral Green, the most prominent part of Exeter city.
Todd will tell us more of these architecturally significant buildings, shops and merchant’s houses, one at least of which was built in about 1500 or earlier.
