Last year we introduced a new programme of monthly local history talks at the Axminster Heritage Centre. These talks proved to be extremely popular and were well attended. We are delighted to announce the return of this talk programme for 2025, beginning with ‘Professor William Buckland (1784 – 1856) – The most distinguished person – so far – to have been born at Axminster’, a fascinating double bill by local historian and author, David Knapman, on Wednesday 19th March (Part I) and Wednesday 16th April (Part II) at 7:30pm in the Bradshaw Meeting Room.
