Last night we attended the Arts & Culture East Devon (ACED), Volunteer of the Year Award at the fascinating National Trust property, A La Ronde in Exmouth where our very own volunteer, Rebecca Courtman (Née Green), was nominated. It was such a wonderful and inspiring evening with lots of positivity and opportunities for people to chat and learn from each other. There were so many fantastic candidates for the title of Volunteer of the Year and although, sadly, Rebecca did not win on this occasion, our friend and fellow curator at Seaton Museum, Laura Hewitt, did and we would like to congratulate her once more on her achievement. There is so much to see at Seaton that we highly recommend you pay them a visit!

As this is Volunteer’s Week (2nd – 8th June), what better time for us to introduce you to our new Volunteer Coordinator, Sara Hawkridge. Sara joins us from the Somerset County Council Library Service and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are so delighted to have her here with us and ask you to give her a big Axminster welcome!
