Throughout Covid-19 Axminster Heritage Centre’s priority has been to safeguard its volunteers and visitors. On Monday July 19th the government is set to remove all current restrictions but are advising organisations to continue with controls as they see fit. After careful consideration of what both the government and scientists are reporting and advising, we have decided that in order to continue to safeguard our volunteers and visitors within our museum, Information Point and shop we will be maintaining:
Face coverings while inside our building (unless exempt)
Our one-way system
2m social distancing
Our hand sanitising stations
We hope therefore that our visitors will understand our decision to refuse admittance of our venue to anyone unwilling to abide by the above conditions. We will be reviewing this decision on September 1st.
We are also pleased to announce that:
1) From Monday 26th July 2021 we will be open 6 days a week
once more in line with our summer opening hours! Our new hours will be Monday-Friday, 10m-4pm and Saturdays 10am -1pm.
2) We are reactivating all of our push button interactives and will hopefully start operating our Crabtree loom once more on Thursday mornings. Our visitors have really missed these and we are delighted to be able to reintroduce them!
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during this time and hope that our visitors will continue to help us so we can help protect each other.
